So many of the other body scrubbers are too rough for me so I needed a less harsh scrubber. The towel gently exfoliates my skin and makes me feel so soft and clean

What a great upgrade from traditional loofas, washcloths, and mitts! Great lather, fast dry time, and removed all of the bumps that I had in the backs of my arms (Keratosis Pilaris). And wait until you use it to scrub your back - ahhhh!

This is everything you need for your shower. I love how it has silver in it too combat mildew and it's so easy to use. I also love that one side is rougher than the other. It feels incredible on your back and I've never been able to clean and exfoliate the bottom of my feet so good.

Is Gyrah authentically Japanese

Yes, Gyrah is 100% authentically Japanese. Our washcloths are designed, manufactured, and produced entirely in Japan and imported directly to our U.S. warehouse.

Why pick this over a loofah or net sponge?

Loofahs stay wet for 48-72 hours and trap bacteria. Net sponges scratch the skin and cause micro-tears. Gyrah dries in about an hour, has antibacterial fibers, and is gentle enough for daily use. It's what Japanese women have used instead of both for over 1,000 years.

Is Gyrah safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. Gyrah uses a soft flat weave that gently lifts dead skin without irritating sensitive or reactive skin. Most customers with sensitive skin see calmer, smoother skin within the first week of use.

SIze and Dimensions

It measures 48 inches long by 11 inches wide. That length is built to reach all the way across your back without straining. Just hold one end in each hand and work it side to side to hit every spot your hands can't reach. Bunch it up for smaller areas like your arms, legs, or face.

Shipping and Return

Orders ship same-day from our U.S. warehouse with 5-7 business day delivery. If you're not completely satisfied within 90 days, contact us for a full refund — no questions asked.

The difference is the fabric

The difference is the fabric

Gyrah's fine hexagon fibers exfoliate thousands of contact points at once, where a net sponge drags one rough surface across your skin. You get deeper exfoliation with none of the raw, scraped feeling, gentle enough for your face and daily use. The mesh dries in minutes so bacteria never take hold, and one Gyrah towel outlasts a pile of loofahs.

It dries in an hour, not three days

It dries in an hour, not three days

A loofah stays wet for 48 to 72 hours, and everything that likes damp settles in for the ride. The open weave holds almost no water: hang it in the same shower and it is dry in about an hour.

The fibres are antibacterial, so nothing builds up between showers and the towel smells of nothing at all. One Gyrah towel outlasts a whole pile of loofahs.

It reaches everywhere your hands don't

It reaches everywhere your hands don't

48 inches long by 11 inches wide. That length crosses your whole back without straining — hold one end in each hand, work it side to side, and you finally get to the spots a mitt or a sponge never reaches.

Bunch it up for smaller areas: arms, legs, the soles of your feet, even your face. Same towel, same gentle weave, no separate tool for anything.

Switched from my African net scrub that left me raw every single time and honestly the difference is crazy. This exfoliates just as deep, maybe deeper, but my skin feels soft after instead of stripped and stinging. Used it every day this week and no irritation at all. Not going back to that sponge ever

Gentle enough that my teenage daughter uses it on her face for her breakouts and it hasn't irritated her skin once. We both use it now. Great buy for the price honestly

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I actually use it?

Wet it, add a small amount of body wash, and it lathers straight away. Hold one end in each hand and work it across your back, then bunch it up for arms, legs, chest and feet. Light pressure is enough — the weave does the work, you don't need to scrub hard. Rinse it out and hang it up when you're done.

Does it hurt? It looks rough.

No. It feels grippy rather than scratchy. The fine hexagon weave spreads the pressure over thousands of tiny contact points instead of dragging one rough surface across your skin, which is exactly why it exfoliates deeper than a net sponge without the raw, stripped feeling afterwards.

How often should I use it?

Daily is fine for most people, and that's how it's used in Japan. If your skin is on the reactive side, start with two or three times a week for the first fortnight and build up from there.

Can I use it on my face?

Yes. Bunch a corner up, use it with light pressure and no soap on the eye area. Plenty of customers use it on their face for congestion and dry patches — but if you're mid-breakout or using a retinoid, go gently and skip the inflamed spots.

Is it safe for sensitive skin, eczema or keratosis pilaris?

The weave is flat and soft, so it lifts dead skin without the micro-tears a net sponge causes. It's the go-to for keratosis pilaris — the bumps on the backs of the arms — and most people with sensitive skin see calmer, smoother skin within the first week. If you have active eczema or broken skin, wait until it has healed.

Do I need soap or body wash with it?

It works both ways. On its own it exfoliates and buffs. With a small amount of body wash it produces a lot of lather from very little product, so a bottle lasts noticeably longer.

How do I clean it, and how long does it last?

Rinse it under the tap after each shower and hang it up — that's it. The open weave dries in about an hour, so nothing has time to settle in, and the fibres are antibacterial. Once a fortnight you can machine wash it cold in a laundry bag. It holds its texture for a year or more of daily use.

Why is it better than a loofah or a net sponge?

A loofah stays damp for 48 to 72 hours and traps bacteria in its cavities. A net sponge scratches and causes micro-tears. This dries in about an hour, has no cavities to trap anything, exfoliates deeper than both, and is gentle enough for daily use. It's what Japanese women have used instead of both for over a thousand years.

Is it really made in Japan?

Yes. It is designed, woven and finished entirely in Japan, then imported directly to our U.S. warehouse. Nothing about it is made anywhere else.

What size is it?

48 inches long by 11 inches wide. That length is what lets you reach all the way across your back with an end in each hand, without twisting or straining.

Which colour should I choose?

The weave, the length and the exfoliation are identical across every colour — pick whichever you prefer in your bathroom. Black hides marks best if you use it with clay or scrub products.

Can my kids or teenagers use it?

Yes. Use light pressure and start every other day. It's a common choice for teenagers dealing with body breakouts, because it cleans deeply without the harsh scrubbing that makes things worse.

When will my order arrive?

Orders ship the same day from our U.S. warehouse, with delivery in 5 to 7 business days. You get a tracking link as soon as it leaves the warehouse.

What if I don't get on with it?

You have 90 days from delivery. If your skin isn't smoother, or you simply don't like it, write to us at hello@gyrah.com and we'll refund you in full — no questions asked, and you don't need to send it back.
